We recommend treating all VegTrug wooden products annually from date of purchase. The most suitable product we recommend for the treatment of a VegTrug is the Protek range of water based preservatives, as it is food safe.
With Protek you can choose to keep the natural colour of the wood by using the Protek ‘Clear Tough Coat’, or you can stain the VegTrug with any colour from the range with a single coat of the ‘Wood Protector” range first and then a coat of the ‘Clear Tough Coat’ to finish.

We are pleased to confirm that all of our wooden products are manufactured from 100% FSC certified Cunninghamia lanceolata - this is referred to as many different names such as Chinese Cedar, Chinese Fir, China Fir but is in fact a member of the cypress family.
